Axl with his Loop t-shirt. WLUP 97.9 The Loop has been a classic rock station in Chicago FOREVER. he must have gotten that while he was still in Indiana.
a few people have asked me where my early Guns N Roses pics are with all the bios and stories behind the pics. start on that page. scroll down and go to the next pages from there.
Deal Her Black Dress from my upcoming album
Beyond the Reach of the Whip (May 19th)
this should be the 1st demo they ever recorded. i had to cut off the last 1:30 or so and lower the quality to make the file fit for Tumblr. if you want to download a higher quality full version of it with the artwork and proper info for your iTunes you can download it at my box.com account here ===> https://www.box.com/s/a95d1bf388e3ad6d9c47
you’ll see it says Carella Ross. it’s me.
i’m honestly not a big fan of most of their early demos except for the Shout ones and whatever they’ve released on the new Motley Records versions. most of the others are either recorded badly or Vince is awful. but this is one i would definitely suggest you grab like NOW if you do not already have it.
it’s the look of the Theatre of Pain Crue that everyone copied more than anything else (and so badly as well) that sent 80’s hair metal its death knell. people were still copying this shit 5-6 years later even AFTER Appetite For Destruction…
fuck i’m sure there’s some fat balding middle aged drummer on FagBook right now named Rikki Stixx who is still doing it.
here’s a cover of Starry Eyes that i did with a friend (for the fuck of it) while waiting around at the studio i played bass because i had to be nikki (and vince).
the 1st clip of this metal interview montage is the Crue backstage at Donington in 1984.
NOTE: it will play after the title cards. just give it a few seconds.
